MEMEBOX Acne Care Box #memeacclinic & Troubled Skin Mask Set Order [REVIEW]

WOOOOOT! HANDS UP FOR MEMEBOX!!!

It gets me soooo excited when I do unboxings and I don't know what products I'm getting!! You have outdone urself once again Memebox! I swear I've never been disappointed with any of the boxes and I will continue to get moree~~~ ladidadadaaaaa

Can we just admire the hot pink box for a minute?

4 Full-sized products and 1 sample pack

1. Lioele A.C Control Mousse Cleanser Trouble Hunter (full size- 150ml $20)

- Contains triclosan, salicylic acid, azelaic acid, and grape fruit peel
- treats and prevents breakouts while reducing redness

This is the only product out of the bunch that I have not tried yet because I already have two cleansers that I'm using right now. I don't want to open it and waste it if I won't be using it as often so I will save it for a future review! But I can already tell that it looks promising because foam and mousse cleansers are the best for acne prone skin. Also salicyclic acid treats acne and exfoliates the skin and grapefruit has brightening qualities. I look forward to using this soon.

2. Holika Holika Skin & AC Mild Clear Toner (full size- 245ml $25)

- cooling & refreshing toner helps keep skin clear by controlling sebum and removing dead skin cells
- formulated with laurel lead extract and micro apple water to improve appearance of troubled skin.

In a previous memebox, I received the moisturizer from this same line but didn't like it because it was very heavy and sticky so I gave it to my older brother to use. This time around, I kept this toner because I was running very low on my Isa Knox Carezone Toner and the Mario Badescu Grapefruit Toner. It definitely makes my skin feel refreshed and cool, but the sebum control hasn't made a substantial difference in my skin especially since my skin has always always been a super oily mess. It's such a big bottle so I will continue to use it throughout the summer, I'm thinking of putting it in my small spray bottle and maybe use it as a refreshing mist throughout the day? That's something to consider, only if it doesn't mess with my foundation.

3. Missha Speedy Solution Anti Trouble Patch (full size 8 pieces $5)

- effectively fight inflammation and reduce the size of even the biggest pimples
- contains tea tree oil, grape seed oil, and hyaluronic acid to help soothe, calm and clean.

If there was a product besides foundation that was god sent, it would be this wonderful invention! If you are not familiar with what these acne patches are, basically they are clear sticker that you put on your pimples! Cool right? If you've watched any kpop idols in their dorms, you will see these patches a lot because it doesn't require any extra work other than peel and stick. This box comes with 8 packs and in each pack is 12 stickers: 6 small ones and 6 big ones. The big ones cover my cysts and the small ones cover the small pimples perfectly. To date I have already used 4 packs of these because recently I've realized that clay masks and drying lotions have left my skin peeling and dried. It is recommended to apply this on clean skin (cleanse and tone) and leave them on for 8-12 hours (while sleeping/ at home). You won't even realize they're on and after peeling them off which is a bit gross. I used one on a big pimple that I popped and disinfected and I knew the pus would come back, but this patch did the job and dried it out!! WHOOOOP WHOOOP! It also works well to force the white part of the pimple to come out. Get them and try it out, they're so cheap!

4. Goodal Pore Tightening Gel Essence (full size 30ml $22.50)

- essence leaves skin moisturized long after use
- sebum controlling capabilities helps prevent breakouts by minimizing the amount of sebum production.
- reveals smooth and soft skin so you won't need to use concealer

This product is very weird because it markets itself as a essence yet its not liquid instead it is a gel texture. The gel is white and has little blue beads that pop when you massage into the skin, its suppose to deliver antioxidants to your skin. The scent isn't really something I find pleasant, but I can look past that. I've only been using it for a couple of days because it has a semi-heavy and sticky feel on my skin so I try not to wear it under makeup or have to wait until it completely absorbs. Does it tighten my pores? I really haven't seen a difference, as a matter of fact, my pores were VERY visible today with my foundation on for some reason. :( As I'm using this more and more I realized that now, EVERYDAY my pores on my cheeks and forehead are very very obvious. I would like to think that this isn't the one causing that, but besides this product there aren't any pore related products that I am using. *sad face*

5. Goodal Wash up Deep Clean Pore Glacial Clay (mini size 10ml $6)

- Formulated with kaolin clay which effectively cleans out pores and improves the skin's texture.
- Kaolin clay disinfects, soothes the skin, and removes dead skin cells

I seriously need to get some good clay masks like this one. I've completely run out of the glam glow mask and origins charcoal mask. This is an interesting one for a clay mask because it doesn't try up and start flaking and cracking like mad meaning its not very drying instead it drys a bit moist and sticky. The mask is white and has little exfoliating beads in it that will act as a scrub when you massage it off after 10-15 minutes which is a plus! A multi-functional product is always good! The texture is a like a thick paste.  Also another thing I noticed is that it gets warm and heated after being applied which I have experienced with other masks. This means its really working and its forcing the oil and sebum out of its pores! This little sample pack lasted me 3 separate times so a little goes a long way.

5 Sheet Masks- $10 (value $14.50)

SNP POP Troubled Skin Care Essence Sheet Mask- $3
On sale $2 @ memebox

This was the first mask I used in the set and I was deeply disappointed by it. The sheet itself was very high quality cotton, thick and soaked with essence. The main ingredients in this mask is tea tree oil and it usually works on my skin, but when I slept with it, it actually made my skin dry and did nothing for my acne. Maybe this is a mask more towards preventing breakouts than healing and treating them so keep that in mind. Other than that, this mask is also 4 free- paraben, mineral oil, silicone and

BOTANIC FARM Polar Energy Hydrogel Mask Pack (Harpagophytum Procumbens)
$5 (on sale $4 @ memebox)

This kind of hydrogel mask has been VERY VERY popular lately and I was very intrigued by it. I've never used any gel masks before except for eye patches and I think they are very similar. It has a film in the middle and gel on each side that melts? or gets absorbed into the skin. This mask is separated into 2 parts: top and bottom so you have to apply them separately on the face. This was the hardest part for me because I almost dropped the pieces into my sink!! The mask was transparent but had a lot of gold shimmers in it, I was very intrigued!! The mask felt so luxurious when I put it on, but the only thing is this gel is particularly stiff. I think a better quality gel mask would be softer and more able to mold onto the face and lay on better. For this mask, I had trouble keeping the bottom half on because it kept wanting to slip right off even when I was laying flat on my bed. I didn't see much whitening with this mask, but it did hydrate my skin so I will keep looking out for hydrogel masks on the market! (Let me know your opinion on hydrogel masks~)

MISSHA Pure Source Sheet Mask Tea Tree $2 @ memebox

Missha is a very popular brand of korean makeup, but I have never tried their skincare at all. Even with their makeup I had only tried the infamous Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream which had mineral oil and broke me out severely!!! I'm not super excited to try this because I think Missha as an overall brand is just okay. There's not much to say about this, I can already tell the cotton quality will be decent and the mask won't really do much for my skin so I'll just use it when I need to fill up time and want to put a mask on.

BOTANIC FARM Natural Energy Mask Sheet- Sea Mustard $2 @ memebox

This mask is also from Botanic Farm which I think by now is a decent korean brand. I've never tried a sea mustard mask before so I'm interested in what this will do for my skin. I haven't tried it as of yet so I'll come back and do an update soon.

LEADERS Teatree Relaxing Renewal Mask $2.50
On sale $2 @ memebox

Ladies and Gentlemen, let me introduce to you my holy grail brand of masks. This is the KING OF ALL KINGS, THE BEST OF ALL KOREAN MASKS. Leader's Insolution has never failed me! This teatree mask not only treats acne but also calms and soothes them at the same time. This is a great mask to treat and prevent acne. The Leader Insolution brand has so many more lines dedicated towards acne, sensitive, dry and dull skin. I have tried many of their masks and their quality is always consistent. If you were to make a purchase, please do on Imomoko (that's where you can get it for the cheapest). I recommend this teatree one and also AC Amino Acid, Brightening and also the Coconut Gel Line (also can be found on memebox website).

Value of Box- $78.50
Paid- $45.00

Conclusion:
I've been enjoying every product in the box so far. I think my favorites are the trouble patches, the clay, mask, and the toner. I love that I got mostly full size products and a small sample of the Goodal clay mask. This box was definitely worth the $45 because it packs in a full skin care regime in a box for people struggling from acne (cleanser, toner, spot treatment, essence, mask). Five products for $45 is a good deal. Unfortunately, these boxes go really fast until Memebox restocks or brings them back due to popular demand. Otherwise, you can find these products on their website for discounted prices and free shipping for purchases $30+.

Thanks for reading my review! Let me know if you've tried Memebox or any of these products and leave your opinions below~~

Target Beauty Box Spring 2015 [REVIEW]

YEAYYYYY!!! TARGET BEAUTY BOX IS BACK!

What is the Target Beauty Box?

This beauty box from Target is full of beauty goodies that come out every season for $5+tax (~$5.44). You get a couple full size and mostly sample/ travel size products. These boxes usually go super fast! So, if you hear about them releasing it then jump on it because when it goes, its gone.

2 Full Size + 3 Travel Size Products

1. TRESemme TRES Two Extra Hold Hairspray (travel size)

If you are familiar with the hair products in drugstores then you should already know that TRESemme is one of the top brands in that category. They have some of the best hold hairsprays that Youtube Gurus always rave about especially EmilyNoel83. I'm glad I received a travel size so I can carry this around, but unfortunately the cap broke during shipping so I have to be careful with it. I'm not one to use hairspray, but since I always wave my hair by braiding it I wan't to keep it from falling too much and this does it without making my hair feel heavy and crinkly like some hairsprays do.

Shea Moisture 10-in-1 Renewal System Shampoo (travel size)

Claims: Ten Benefits Specific for our SHAMPOO: Age-Defy Nourish Anti-Stress Manageability Color Protect Revive Body Hydrate Soften No Build Up Sulfate-Free

Originally, I didn't think much of this product because I already had a shampoo that was working okay for me, but I decided to use this one night and I was so pleasantly surprised. Normally, shampoos dry out my hair and leaves it feeling quite dry after a wash, but this shampoo does wonders for my hair. I think its because of the marula oil and biotin in it that makes my hair feel so smooth and soft after washing. Its so amazing, I highly recommend!!

Neutrogena Hydra Boost Gel Cream (deluxe sample)

I haven't tried this particular product yet because I already have an awesome moisturizer that I'm in love with at the moment, which is the Belif True Aqua Bomb. I've heard many great things about this moisturizer and even wanted to try it a one point, but after seeing reviews I decided to buy the Belif Gel moisturizer instead. If you have tried Belif or the Clinique Moisture Surge then this product is very similar. It has a thicker gel watery texture that is meant to deliver hydration without making the skin too oily. This product in full size is quite expensive for a drugstore skincare product :( I think around $20+

Maybelline Elixer 090 Rose Redefined

Ever since I got this lip gloss I've been wearing it over my lipstick almost everyday because it delivers a nice sheer rose pinky shade on the lips. I don't know why people don't like this product, well actually I do know because it's why I really like this gloss as opposed to other glosses. I love love love thick somewhat stickier glosses and this is right up my alley, I also like thicker hydrating li products not the type that are oily and slippy slidy on me all day long. I'm sorry I didn't find you earlier sweetie, but I will cherish you dearly from now on!!!

L'oreal Infallible Setting Spray

I've heard plenty of good reviews for this product saying this was a dupe for the Urban Decay setting sprays, but I've never tried it before since I don' normally use sprays. I opened it when I first received it and remember smelling baby wipes in the bottle. The liquid smelled just like baby wipes which made me hesitant on using it. To date I have only used it about 3 times and I really don't find that it made a significant different considering I have a really great primer, foundation and moisturizer that stops my face from getting too oily already. I will have to try this out more in order to have a solid opinion, but so far a little setting spray doesn't hurt especially with summer looming over us!

I am so happy I got this season's Target Beauty Box! I get to try so many different products just for $5! That's insaneee!!! I definitely look forward to more boxes in the future, so look out for unboxing/reviews! If you didn't get this season's box, you can always wait for the next one!

Thanks for reading my review and if you have any questions/comments just type them down below. See you in my next post~~

Memebox: Dark Spots Be Gone #goodbyedarkspots [REVIEW]

It's been awhile since I've wrote on here, but I reallly reallly reallly like you (get the reference?). But really, I wanted to share this awesome box from Memebox. I've always struggled with hyperpigmentation and dark spots because of my acne scarring and me constantly picking at everything on my face, BUT FEAR NOT MEMEBOX IS HERE.

What is Memebox?

It's like "the" go-to website to keep up with current korean makeup and skincare trends! They sell makeup and skincare products but the highlight of the website has to be the subscription like boxes they have. Think Ipsy and Birchbox, but its not a monthly subscription because you buy whatever individual boxes you are interested in. ACT QUICK! because they sell out really fast unless Memebox brings them back. You get all full size items and most boxes are priced at $35 (value is double!). All the boxes have a certain theme to them like this one "Dark Spots Be Gone."

Okay enough chit chat about the company, lets open the box!!!

+

5 FULL SIZED PRODUCTS: scrub, moisturizer, serum, sheet mask and concealer

Skin 79's Sweet Honey Sugar Scrub (came with a small spatula)- 100ml
Price: $14 ($12.60 on MEMEBOX WEB)

Just what I needed! I've been using a chemical scrub for a few months, but nothing feels better than a freshly scrubbed face! This big tub is 100ml and will last a good couple of months. It recommends you to use it two or three times a week so it's a gentler scrub. This scrub smells very sweet a lot like dried jujubes.

The texture of the scrub is very thick with smaller sugar granules and bigger ones. When you spread it over your face with massage, the smaller granules will melt leaving the bigger granules left. It really scrubs away the flaky skin I have when I use too much acne products. This scrub leave my face feeling very smooth and refreshed afterwards. The only down side to this scrub is I find that it leaves a weird feeling like there's sticky film on your skin, so I run over my skin with some toner to eliminate the feeling.

Holika Holika Skin & AC Mild Sebum-X Mirror Cream (60ml)
Price: $27

I had no idea Holika Holika had a skincare line, but I am a huge fan of their makeup! Another huge tub of product, this moisturizer has 60ml. This moisturizer is for sebum or oil control, its suppose to hydrate the skin without making it too oily throughout the day.

This product has an interesting texture, seeing that it is a gel I thought it would be nice and light but it's actually quite heavy and thick. This is good because it is packed with a lot of hydration for the skin but bad if you don't like a heavy moisturizer feeling. With this product you don't have to use a lot, but I don't recommend you to use this under makeup because it leaves a sticky feeling that needs some time to go away. I usually use this at night when I want my face to be nicely hydrated the next morning and it doesn't make my face shiny in the morning! A+++. I wish it came with a spatula though because a tub is very unsanitary!! It smells very refreshing and herby I can't really describe the smell, but its light so if you are bothered by things like that, it will eventually go away.

It's Skin Power 10 Formula WH Effector with Arbutin (10ml)
Price: $13 ($11 on MEMEBOX WEB)

I have never heard of this brand until I came to Memebox and I bought makeup from this brand for really cheap and the quality is okay. BUT let me tell you that this is THE STAR of the box because it has managed to beat out all the expensive whitening products I have used in years and lightened my scars in just 1 week of use! I'm not going to say this a miracle product because what works for me may not work for you, but I do pray that you will someday find your holy grail! For now listen to praise this angel here. Note: There are over 10 different serums in this line, one for each concern (wrinkle care, hydrating, sebum, q10, etc).

It is suppose to be a serum, but has a very light watery essence type of consistency. You only need about three drops for the whole face. To apply just spread it on your finger tips and pat into your face (Do not rub!). It leaves a slightly sticky feeling on the skin, but putting this on at night doesn't make that a problem. I haven't worn it under makeup so I don't know if it will ball up. For the price this is sooooo worth it!

Leader's InSolution Illuminating Sheet Mask $3

There is needless to say that I was super happy to receive this sheet mask because Leaders InSolution is my favorite sheet mask brand! They are really expensive when you buy them individually, but Imomoko usually has them for $1.80 if you buy 10 at one time. I've used the Teatree, Vita Brighten, and Amino AC ones but never this particular one. I'm not sure if it really "brightened" my face when I woke up the next morning, but it definitely felt hydrated. I think this is the kind of thing that you need to apply on frequently enough to notice a big difference. Otherwise, if you need a pick me up for an event then this works great!

Banila Co. Dr. Hide Concealer
Price: $22 ($19 on MEMEBOX WEB)

Finally get to try some Banila Co. makeup products!! This concealer is so small and cute, perfect for traveling and touching up! It even comes with a small brush for blending, but I never use them anyways. The consistency is creamy, but not oily. It comes in a salmon corrector color and a lighter highlight color. This is perfect for light- medium or medium skin tone girls! You can mix the concealers together or use one to correct dark circles and the other to highlight. I've only used this on my dark circles and they do crease a bit (like all concealers I've tried). It doesn't have the full coverage I want for my spots and acne so I'll stick with my Amazing Concealer for that. It's nice to just stick this into your bag for touch ups so thumbs up!!! (but i think it would have been better if one side was a powder)

Top: Salmon shade
Bottom: Light shade

Value of this box: $79 (THAT'S MORE THAN DOUBLE I PAID FOR)
Price of box: $35

Shipping: 2-day priority shipping with USPS (orders over $30)

Conclusion:
- the scrub is nice, but needs extra effort to wash off
- moisturizer is thick and sticky, would only use at night
- love the serum because it really made a difference in my skin
- illuminating mask is great to give your face a pick me up for special events
- concealer is good for traveling and normal skin (will slip and slide on oily skin and crease under eyes)

Super Quick&Easy Healthy cookies

Haven't posted in ages so I thought I'd come back with a sweet treat. Here's the simplest healthy cookie recipe in under 10minutes.

Ingredients: serving 12 cookies
- 1 cup oats (3/4 cup if u want to add cereal)
- 1 mashed banana
- your favorite cereal crushed up (I used special k fruit and yoghurt)
- your favorite yogurt (I used activia strawberry)
- optional: dried cranberries if you want extra sweetness or dont have yogurt.

Steps:
1. Mash your bananas
2. Combine the bananas and oats and cereal (adjust the recipe to your liking, more cereal for crunchiness or less oats for a moist cookie)
3. Spoon out a ball and press onto a baking pan.
4. Spoon some of your favorite flavored yogurt and spread some on the top of your cookies (or use cranberries)
5. Bake at 350 for about 6minutes.
6. BON APETITE!

Hope you try out this awesome and easy cookie recipe and tell me how it goes! Stay healthy everyone :)

Milani eye tech vs. Maybelline master precise (pen liners)

The battle of the drugstore pen eyeliners!! (maybe could be a series for reviews? That's something to consider...) Milani and Maybelline are two of my favorites brands in the drugstore in terms ot the quality and price of their products, but when it does come down to price Milani wins by a longshot.

What?
What are pen eyeliners? They are exactly what they sound like they are; liquid eye liners in pen form. The two specific ones I'm reviewing have a tapered thin foam tip whereas other pen eyeliners may have thin brush tips. For example, the Physicians formula pen eyeliner or the Jesse's Girl pen eyeliner have brush tips.

First impressions
Milani:
- thin brush tip
- easy to apply
- slightly watery formula
- opaque black but needs some layering
- dries to a shiny finish
- smudges at the corner of my eye (my eyes water at the end of my eye)

Maybelline:
- even thinner longer foam tip that comes to a sharp point

- point is flexible so you can even draw with it
- easier to make thin lines
- waterier formula than milani
- slightly more opaque than milani
- still smudges at the ends of my eye

Ingredient list:

MAYBELLINE
MILANI

CONCLUSION

LOSER!!

Conclusion: I have very oily skin and eyelids so anything I tend to put on becomes smudgy and faded after a couple hours. But I think these two eyeliners are some of the best ones out in the drugstore. I swear by them, I usually have one to travel and one at home (either one is good) but like I said in the chart I likr maybelline just a bit more. And also a tip for storage to prevent them from drying out! Make sure you store them horizontal and not vertical like a pencil or the tips will dry out. Thanks for reading this review ;D and share your opinions in the comments below
